Guided tours of Saint-Gengoux are offered during the summer season by the Balade et Patrimoine association. A friendly drink at the end of the tour is a great way to catch up with other visitors.
At the crossroads of 5 busy roads linking Autun, Cluny, Chalon, Tournus and Mâcon, among others, the town of Saint-Gengoux occupied an important strategic position from Roman times before being placed under the jurisdiction of the monks of Cluny in the 10th century.
