This fortified castle has six round or square towers (including one called "La Panneterie" dating from around 1300) plus a dovecote in an adjacent garden. The inner courtyard is walled. The farm buildings within the enclosure date from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The interior of the dwelling consists of 4 large "rooms" with their fireplaces and "cabinets", a small chapel on which rests a dovecote. The whole of the estate is made up of a "garenne" (boxwood and oak wood), a conservatory orchard of 16th century fruit varieties, a conservatory vineyard of old grape varieties likely to have been present in the 16th century (50), a conservatory of 80 Chardonnay grape varieties and a poetic garden.
Opening times
Open to the public during events at the château and from 15/06 to 15/09 on Sundays from 2.30pm to 6pm.
