Au départ du centre bourg, la randonnée prend rapidement de la hauteur pour rejoindre Davenay et offrir une vue panoramique sur le bourg médiéval de Buxy. Le parcours rejoint ensuite le village de Montagny-lès-Buxy, puis la Grande Roche à Saint-Vallerin et son magnifique panorama sur la côte Chalonnaise. Les paysages des villages de Chenôves, Saules, Culles-les-Roches vous mèneront à Saint-Gengoux-le-National.
Starting from the village centre, the walk quickly gains altitude as it heads towards Davenay, offering a panoramic view of the medieval village of Buxy. The route then takes you to the village of Montagny-lès-Buxy, followed by the Grande Roche at Saint-Vallerin and its magnificent panoramic view of the Côte Chalonnaise. The scenery around the villages of Chenôves, Saules and Culles-les-Roches will lead you to Saint-Gengoux-le-National.
With its rich Cluniac heritage and status as a royal town, it is only natural that Saint-Gengoux-le-National is included in the joint nomination of Cluniac sites for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This nomination is led by the European Federation of Cluniac Sites.
Highlights: a journey through the vineyards of the Montagny appellation, the traditional villages of the southern Côte Chalonnaise, and the panoramic views.
