Moroges

Crossed by the Route des Grands Vins, Moroges is a pretty little wine village composed of a village and 6 hamlets. A place of passage since prehistoric times, Moroges is the ideal place for magnificent walks - including a Balade Verte "Balade Morogeoise" (Morogeoise Walk) which offers beautiful views thanks to the steep inclines and for discovering a rich and varied heritage in the many hamlets that it passes through with, as an option, the botanical trail of Mont Avril. In the village, you will find beautiful typical Burgundian houses, 4 wash houses, 3 mills and fountains, a 19th century church of Saint-Vincent - originally a Romanesque church of Saint-Martin - a little away from the village, but very visible with its bell tower decorated with polychrome tiles. Don't miss the two reconstructed 13th century towers and two Merovingian sarcophagi.
