Rosey

North of Buxy, the small rural village of Rosey is crossed by the Route des Grands Vins and the Voie Verte. In the center of the village, there are beautiful winegrowers' houses and 19th century bourgeois houses, linked together by stone walls. The village boasts two chateaux: the Mauny, which still bears the marks of its fortifications from the late Middle Ages and the Mélouasé, in Italian style, which was built on the eve of the Revolution on the site of an older chateau. The latter is classified as a historical monument as is the church of Romanesque origin, enlarged in the 17th century. The Balade Verte called "Les 4 lavoirs" (The 4 wash houses) (starting from the picnic area of Rosey) allows you to discover the wash house of Nourice. Dating from 1829, it has a bean shape (semi-circular) unique in Burgundy, with a lava stone-covered roof, and could accommodate up to 18 washerwomen.
